Pillar One

God First

Faith is not one part of who we are — it is the foundation underneath everything. Before we lead, build, or provide, we kneel. God first means seeking His will, walking in integrity, and trusting Him to direct every step.

Scripture

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Matthew 6:33

What this pillar means

Lived out in every part of life

In Everyday Life

  • Begin each day in prayer and Scripture before phone or work.
  • Lead your household spiritually — pray with your wife and children.
  • Make decisions through the lens of God's Word, not culture.
  • Confess quickly, forgive quickly, walk humbly.

In Business

  • Conduct business with honesty even when it costs you.
  • Treat staff, suppliers, and clients as people made in God's image.
  • Pay what is owed on time and keep your word.
  • Tithe and give generously from what God entrusts to you.

In Provident Men

  • Open and close gatherings in prayer.
  • Hold each other accountable to walk uprightly before God.
  • Encourage one another in Scripture, not just strategy.
  • Refuse to compromise biblical truth for popularity.

Practical examples

What this looks like in action

Example 1

The 10-minute morning

A brother sets aside the first 10 minutes of every day — before email, before the gym — for Scripture and prayer. Six months later, his marriage, business, and patience all changed.

Example 2

The honest invoice

A tradesman discovers he over-quoted a client by $400. He calls, explains, and refunds it. The client refers three new jobs that month — but he would have done it either way.

Example 3

The hard conversation

Two brothers in the movement disagree sharply. Instead of going silent, they meet, pray, and reconcile face to face — modelling what restoration looks like.
